Renault Triber 7-seater MPV revealed for India

In a global premiere, Groupe Renault has revealed the Triber, an all-new global product in India today. The Renault Triber has been developed with teams from both India and France and is a world-first vehicle specifically designed for the Indian market.

The Triber is attractively designed and gets ultra modular features such as EASYFIX seats which is the industry’s first vehicle to get more than 100 different configurations. The Triber also gets a 625-litre boot space in the 5-seater configuration and 35-litre storage space on the interior. It ranks among the most spacious cars in the sub-4-metre category. 

On the interior, the Renault Triber gets an 8-inch touch screen infotainment system which features MediaNav evolution offering connected multimedia features. It is compatible with both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It also allows videos to be played via a USB cable.  The Triber also gets a segment-first fully digital LED instrument cluster with an 8.9 cm LCD screen, with framed tachometer, fuel level and engine temperature. The air conditioning on the Triber is offered with second and third-row vents, ensuring that all occupants are comfortable. Also, between the first and second-row seats is a central refrigerated compartment, with a capacity of 4-litres with an easy access.

Seating mode Highlights on the Renault Triber are as follows:-

  • Life Mode:- 5 seat configuration with slider and recliner with twin AC and dedicated vents
  • Tribe Mode:- This mode uses the full seating capacity of the car
  • Surfing Mode:- This seating configuration accommodates uniquely sized objects such as surfboards.
  • Camping Mode:- Seating is configured for two people with all the space for fun and adventure.

In the Indian market, the Renault Triber is powered by a 1.0-litre 3-cylinder, petrol engine that produces 72 PS of power and 96 Nm of torque mated to a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed EASY-R AMT gearbox.

In terms of safety, the Triber comes equipped with driver, passenger and side airbags, rear parking sensors, three-point seat belts in all rows and other features as per industry standards.
