The Renault Triber has crossed the 75,000 sales milestone since the car’s launch. The Triber MPV has achieved the number in just 21 months from its market debut. The Triber 7-seater MPV with flexible seating is one of the key vehicles that revived the French brand in the Indian market. At the time of its launch, the Renault Triber came with a price tag starting at INR 4.95 lakh ex-showroom. The brand has launched the MY 2021 Triber and the current model starts at INR 5.30 lakh ex-showroom.
Powering the Renault Triber is an Energy-series 1.0-litre three-cylinder dual VVT naturally-aspirated petrol engine. The engine delivers 72 PS of power and 96 Nm of torque. Transmission options are a 5-speed manual gearbox or a 5-speed AMT automatic (Automated Manual Transmission). The 7-seater MPV comes with a front-wheel-drive architecture and claims to return 19 km to a litre.
The Renault Triber comes with a classic people carrier design with sharp looks and spacious interiors. The Triber features sweptback headlamps with projector units, a front skid plate effect, door cladding, roof rails and wraparound taillamps. The 2021 Triber comes with a dual-tone theme on the exterior paint and a new Cedar Brown paint scheme added to the existing palette. The MPV measures 3990mm in length, 1739mm in width, 1643 in height, 2636mm of the wheelbase and 182mm of ground clearance.
The Renault Triber features an 8-inch touchscreen MediaNav Evolution infotainment system, LED instruments console, Twin AC with vents in 2nd and 3rd row, cooled storage in the centre console, contoured seats with textured upholstery, smart access key, push-button start-stop etc.
The 2021 Renault Triber comes in four trim options – RXE, RXL, RXT and RXZ. The entry-level model starts at INR 5.30 lakh ex-showroom, the top-of-the-line Triber is priced at INR 7,82 lakh ex-showroom. The brand is also developing a Turbo-Petrol variant of the Renault Triber which is likely to make its debut in 2022.
