Renault India has announced a new milestone. The company has exceeded 9,00,000 unit sales in India. According to the carmaker, this milestone comes closely on the heels of Renualt’s initiatives in India. Some of these include offering innovative and disruptive product portfolio, persistent commitment towards customer satisfaction, network expansion, rural focussed strategy, and pioneering marketing initiatives.
Renault in India
Renault has been in the Indian market for the last 11 years. Over the years, the company has launched a diverse range of products catering to a wide audience. Further, the Renault network today stands at 450 dealerships and 530 service points.
Renault is part of the Groupe Renault global automotive group. India is an important market for them and stands in the top 5 markets worldwide for the brand. The company has once again reiterated its long term commitment for the Indian market. Renault aims to offer several new innovative products and services over the future. The company also announced a plan to reach 90 percent localization in the future products.
Renault Portfolio in India
Currently, there are three cars on sale – these include the Kiger, Triber and the Kwid. The Kiger was launched back in 2021 and has received a good response from customers. The B-segment SUV offers a fuel economy of 20.62 km/h with its 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine and a 4-Star GNCAP test rating as well.
Triber offers a unique proposition of being a sub-4m vehicle with intelligent packaging. It has a boot space of 625 litres and can also seat 7 occupants. The Triber too is claimed to have a 4-Star GNCAP rating for adult occupants.
The Kwid was launched back in 2015. Over the years, Renault has kept the car updated and has brought in a facelift as well. The hatchback boasts of 98 percent localization. The Kwid was a car that was considered the one to disrupt the hotly contested entry-level segment in India.
