Renault India sees a huge potential for its growth in the rural India market. Thus, to make the most out of this, the French automaker announces its partnership with CSC Grameen eStore. This is the first time that a four-wheeler automotive company made a partnership with CSC Grameen eStore. Renault expects that this tie-up will help them to spread their reach to potential customers in rural India.
It is an eCommerce initiative taken by CSC, which comes under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology. CSC Grameen eStore aims to promote e-commerce in rural areas. This will help, to promote digital ordering and delivery in those markets. This initiative will also help to generate a lot of jobs related to e-commerce which is booming and will grow exponentially in the coming years. Under this partnership, Renault will list its range of products on the CSC Grameen eStore. To facilitate the entire process, Renault will build a mechanism to appoint Village Level Entrepreneurs who will help list the products on select CSC Grameen eStores. VLEs will also have the responsibility to further promote, generate enquiries and help generate sales. To help smoothen the entire process, the VLEs will have the entire support of the respective Renault Authorised dealerships.
To support and amplify the presence of Renault in rural India, the French automaker launched VISTAAR project last year. Under this special project, Renault showcased the Kiger SUV to the rural India locations. The new initiative ‘Rural Float’, aims to provide a complete Renault experience to future customers in more than 360 towns across the country with the help of a fully functional mobile showroom. The company anticipates that there is a huge opportunity in the rural India market. Currently, Renault India has a total of 500 sales and 475+ service touchpoints, which includes 200+ workshops on wheels. With the introduction of this initiative, Renault India will aim to increase its touchpoints across the country thus, boosting its sales figure.
