Red Yamaha YZF-R15 Version 3.0 priced at INR 1,52,100

Yamaha has launched the YZF-R15 Version 3.0 in a new Red colour option priced at INR 1.52 lakh ex-showroom, India. The new Metallic Red colour options will be available from 1st April 2021 adding to the brand’s existing colour options that include the Racing Blue, Thunder Grey and Dark Knight colour options.

New ‘Metallic Red’ Colour

The new Metallic Red colour option features a mix of Red and Dark Grey bodywork which includes a Red tank with a grey centre spine, grey nose fairing, Red side fairing, Red-finish on the tail cowl, grey/black belly cowling, black fender etc. The new Metallic Red edition also comes with a black finish on the alloy wheels with red rim tape, a black exhaust pipe cover with a silver end cap. Apart from the new colour, the motorcycle retains all the other engine and mechanical specifications.

Features

The Yamaha YZF-R15 Version 3.0 comes with features such as a multifunction LCD instruments cluster that displays speed, engine RPM, gear position, trip distance, etc and has a VVA indicator as well as a gear shift indicator. The motorcycle also comes with LED headlamps and tail lamps, a side-stand engine cut-off switch, dual-channel ABS for safety and more.

Powertrain & Mechanicals

Powering the Yamaha YZF-R15 Version 3.0 is a 155cc water-cooled single-cylinder four-stroke, four-valve SOHC motor with electronic fuel injection and VVA (Variable Valve Actuation) technology that helps produce 18.6 PS of power and 14.1 Nm of torque. The engine comes with a 6-speed gearbox and a slipper assist clutch that helps prevent rear-wheel lock-up during aggressive downshifts. The Yamaha YZF-R15 Version 3.0 features the hallmark Deltabox frame, 41 mm conventional telescopic front fork suspension, a linkage-type monocross suspension, 282mm hydraulic disc on the front and a 220mm hydraulic disc on the rear. The YZF-R15 measure 1,990 mm in length, 725 mm in width, 1,135 mm in height, a wheelbase of 1325mm, 170mm of ground clearance and a saddle height of 815 mm. The fuel tank capacity is 11-litres and the motorcycle tips the scales at 142 kg at the kerb.
