Recall Alert! Honda recalls CB350, CB350RS, CB300R & CB300F in India

Written by News Team

Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) has announced a recall of several popular motorcycle models, including the CB350, CB350RS, CB300R, and CB300F. This recall affects bikes manufactured between October 2020 and April 2024, and it addresses critical safety concerns related to the wheel speed sensor and camshaft.

Details of the Recall

Honda’s recall impacts a wide range of their 300cc and 350cc motorcycles. The primary issue involves the wheel speed sensor, which has been found to have a defect due to improper moulding processes. This defect allows water to seep into the sensor, potentially causing malfunctions in the speedometer, traction control, or ABS systems. Such malfunctions could lead to ineffective braking, posing a significant safety risk to riders.

Additionally, the recall addresses a camshaft issue in the CB350, CB350RS, and H’ness CB350 models. The camshaft defect, resulting from improper manufacturing, could affect the optimal performance of these motorcycles.

Models Affected

The recall includes the following models:

  • CB350
  • CB350RS
  • CB300R
  • CB300F
  • H’ness CB350

These models were manufactured between October 2020 and April 2024 for the wheel speed sensor issue, and between June 2024 and July 2024 for the camshaft issue.
