Pure EV has announced the prices of the ecoDryft, an electric motorcycle. The launch price of the bike is set at INR 99,999 in Delhi and INR 1,14,999 pan-India. Prices are inclusive of state subsidies.
According to Pure EV, there is a lack of electric motorcycles in the commuter segment in India. Further, this segment represents 80% of all the bikes sold in the country and over 50 percent of all two-wheelers sold in India. So there is massive potential for an electric motorcycle.
More Details of the Pure EV ecoDryft
The ecoDryft has been designed and developed at the company’s technical and manufacturing centre in Hyderabad. In terms of specifications, the bike has a maximum speed of 75 km/h with a full-charge range of upto 130 km. The bike gets a 3 kWh battery that is patented and AIS certified. The battery has been completely developed by Pure EV.
Overall, the ecoDryft has been designed and developed to offer a stable and comfortable ride even at speeds of 75 km/h. It has been benchmarked against internal combustion engine commuter segment motorcycles.
The motorcycle is available in four exciting colours – Black, Grey, Blue and Red.
On-road testing on the Pure EV ecoDryft
According to Dr. Nishanth Dongari, Founder, Pure EV, the company has been conducting extensive trials and testing for the ecoDryft. The EV maker claims that this product will offer competitive performance compared to ICE motorcycles of the same segment. It is also possible that this bike could convert ICE customers to EV customers in the commuter segment category.
Expansion of Dealer Network
The company is also expanding the dealer network across India. New dealerships will be coming up in major cities as well as towns pan India. Further, there are also exports of these EVs to countries in South Asia. There are also plans to expand in to the African and Middle Eastern markets.
