Production-Ready Mahindra BE.05 Spied, Launch in 2025?

Mahindra is gearing up to launch its all-electric BE.05 model in the second half of 2025. Recently, spy shots revealed the BE.05 in production-ready guise, and it appears poised to compete with the Tata Curvv upon its launch.

Design Highlights:

  • The BE.05 boasts a muscular stance with chunky, squared-off wheel arches and a scooped-out bonnet.
  • The front profile features sleek LED daytime running lights (DRLs) connected by a light bar, large air inlets, and a blanked-off grille.
  • The rear end stands out with a split spoiler, raked windscreen, and C-shaped LED taillamps with sequential turn indicators.
  • Other design elements include a sloping roofline, massive front and rear bumpers, and a pillar-mounted rear door handle similar to the XUV.e9.

Interior Features:

  • Inside, the BE.05 surprises with a driver-focused dashboard and center console layout.
  • Expect twin displays for the infotainment and instrument panel, a floating center console with storage underneath, and a twin-spoke steering wheel adorned with an illuminated ‘BE’ logo.

Technical Details:

  • The BE.05 is built on the INGLO platform and is expected to feature a 60 kWh battery pack, providing a range of around 450 km on a single charge.
  • Pricing is crucial for its success, and Mahindra aims to position the BE.05 with an ex-showroom price tag of approximately ₹25 lakh.

The BE.05 is part of Mahindra’s all-electric (Born Electric) vehicles. The Born Electric cars have been built ground-up exclusively for the electric powertrain. The BE.05 is expected to debut in the second half of 2025. It will be positioned above the current XUV 400 which as of now is the only electric vehicle that Mahindra offers. Mahindra is expected to bring 3 more electric vehicles to the market by the end of 2025. Besides the born electric range Mahindra is also electrifying its ICE fleet. Cars like the XUV 700 and the Thar will also get electric variants in the future.
