Today, on the 29th of October, MINI India announced the commencement of pre-bookings for its latest 3-door all-electric MINI Cooper SE. Interested customers can proceed to book the car online at INR 1,00,000 from MINI’s official website. In India, MINI has established itself as a premium small car brand with a wide variety of vehicles on offer. The model range includes the MINI 3-door Hatch, MINI John Cooper Works Hatch, MINI Convertible, and the locally produced MINI Countryman.
MINI has a total of nine authorized dealerships across major metro cities in India. These include Bird Automotive in Delhi NCR, Bavaria Motors in Pune, EVM Autokraft in Kochi, Gallops Autohaus in Ahmedabad. Along with Infinity Cars in Mumbai, Krishna Automobiles in Chandigarh, KUN Exclusive in Chennai, KUN Exclusive in Hyderabad, and Navnit Motors in Bangalore.
The company’s first all-electric MINI, the 3-door Cooper SE sports a progressive yet iconic design making it easily identifiable. Despite MINI changing the face of mobility by going electric, it still retains the tradition of utilizing urban space creatively. Since the new 3-door Cooper SE is electric and has no exhaust, it aids in reducing the carbon footprint. The car features its signature round headlamps with integrated LEDs and turn-signals along with a fully enclosed front grille.
The car also sports a set of newly designed wheels that aid in aerodynamics by reducing drag. At the rear, the car retains its signature union jack-themed LED tail lamps with yellow highlights on the wheels and mirrors. MINI will offer the new 3-door Cooper SE with a choice of four unique colour schemes. These include White Silver, Midnight Black, Moonwalk Grey, and British Racing Green.
Powering the Mini is a 32.6 kWh battery pack matched to an electric motor. The electric power unit can produce 184 PS of power and 270 Nm of torque. These figures allow the new Mini to sprint from 0-100 kmph in 7.3 seconds, coupled with a unique driving experience. MINI claims that the new 3-door Cooper SE offers a range of around 270 km on a single charge.
