Pravaig reveals details of electric Extinction sedan

Pravaig Dynamic, an Indian electric vehicle startup based in Bengaluru has unveiled its electric sedan ‘Extinction’ with the launch coming sometime next year. Pravaig plans to sell the product in Delhi and Bengaluru and will further add different markets like Mumbai, Chennai and Hyderabad in the near future. The prices are yet to be announced.

The dimensions of the electric vehicle are 4,820mm length, 1,934mm width and 1,448mm height and 3,038 mm long wheelbase. It will be a 4-door model with a swooping roof and will have a low couple design. Both the headlight and taillight will be an all-LED setup. The interior will be one of the best in class as claimed by Pravaig. The key highlight is the lounge-like set up very much as seen in the new Volvo XC90 which will give a roomier feel with extended legroom.

The Indian startup company also asserted that the left rear passenger seat will have a reclined angle of more than 165 degrees. Customers can collaborate with interior fashion designers and architects to design the interiors as per their preferences. The audio technology for this car will be provided by Devialet audio technology. Some key features are included like regenerative braking, smartphone connectivity, swappable battery pack, HEPA air filters and 8 airbags

This electric sedan will have a 96kWh battery pack with a maximum power output of 150 kWh or 200 HP. This translates to a maximum top speed of 196 kmph meanwhile the maximum range is stated to be around 504 km. The 0-100 speed is claimed to be under 5.5 seconds and the batteries would charge to their 80% in less than 30 minutes. Pravaig says it will provide the luxury of S-class combined with the performance of a Tesla.

Pravaig Extinction won’t be available for the private individual buyers. It will be mostly focused on corporate customers like fleet operators and hotels and will be exclusively available on lease.  The company claims to have a 5-star safety rating, but we are not sure if the crash test rating has been given by an official organisation or it is just an internal rating given by themselves.
