These include the 911 Carrera GTS with rear-wheel drive, 911 Carrera 4 GTS all-wheel-drive in both Coupe and Cabriolet, and the 911 Targa 4 GTS in all-wheel-drive.
Porsche 911 GTS – Engine Specifications
Powering the Porsche 911 GTS is a 3.0-litre flat-six-cylinder engine. The turbocharged boxer engine produces 480 PS of power and 570 Nm of torque. Compared with the predecessor, the engine makes 30 PS more power and belts out 20 Nm higher twisting force. The power and torque on the new 911 GTS allow it to sprint from 0-100 kmph in just 3.3 seconds. The engine transfers the power to the wheels using an 8-speed Porsche dual-clutch transmission (PDK). In addition to this, the sports car also features a 7-speed manual transmission with a short-throw shifter.
Porsche 911 GTS – Performance Features
The new 911 GTS is not just more powerful than the predecessor but also lighter. Porsche has managed to shave off 25 kg of weight using the Lightweight Design package. This package will be available on the sports car from November 2021. The 911 GTS also comes with a GTS-specific suspension with Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM). The vehicle also features a high-performance braking system from the 911 Turbo. The uprated braking and suspension parts ensure superior transmission of longitudinal and lateral forces.
Furthermore, Porsche has also done extensive work in the aerodynamics department to improve the downforce on the vehicle. Combined with the Lightweight Design package, which will available for the first time on the 911 GTS the car will get additional aerodynamic finishing touches. The package includes lighter carbon fibre reinforced plastic (CFRP) full bucket seats, removed the rear seats, installed a lightweight battery, lightweight glass for the side and rear windows.
