Porsche has launched its compact SUV, the all-new Macan in India starting from Rs. 98.18 lakh (Ex-Showroom Maharashtra).
The Macan slots in below the Cayenne SUV and will compete against the BMW X3, Mercedes-Benz ML Class and the Audi Q5. The Macan will be offered with two engine options, the base Macan S Diesel and the top end Macan Turbo powered by a petrol engine.
The Macan S Diesel is powered by a 3.0L, V6 diesel engine producing 254 BHP of power and 580 Nm of torque. The Macan Turbo is powered by a 3.6L, V6 petrol engine producing 394 BHP of power and 550 Nm of torque. Both the engines are mated to a 7-speed Porsche PDK dual-clutch automatic transmission. 0 – 100 kmph figures stand at 4.8 seconds for the Macan Turbo and 6.3 seconds for the Macan S Diesel.
The car comes equipped with features such as air suspension with ride height adjustment, all-wheel drive system, ambient lighting package, bi-xenon headlamps, 3-zone climate control and an electric tailgate.
