And very soon, as rumours suggest, the Cayman GT4 RS will arrive on our shores as well.

Exterior Changes

As the name suggests, this edition gets some significant aesthetic updates in the form of satin-finish platinum inserts. These changes are visible in the rear Porsche lettering, front air intakes, 21-inch alloy wheels and model designation. Matching the satin-finish platinum inserts are the subtle black touches for the sports-exhaust tailpipes and side window trims. Customers have five metallic paint shades to choose from. These are, namely, Jet Black, Carrara White, Mahogany, Moonlight Blue and Crayon. The SUV now has an LED headlight set up with the Porsche Dynamic Light System, a panoramic roof and privacy glass.

Interiors

Keeping up with the exterior changes, Porsche has updated the interiors as well. Maximum parts get texture aluminium with a silver-coloured finish. The seatbelts’ brushed aluminium door sills, and a special Platinum Edition logo gets a Crayon-coloured treatment. Adding to the special touch is the Porsche logo embossed onto the front and rear headrests. Other key additions exclusive to the Platinum edition includes eight-way electrically adjustable leather sports seats, ambient lighting, a premium Bose music system and a special analogue clock on the dashboard.

Engine And Powertrain Options

Customers in India can avail of two engine options with the Cayenne Platinum Edition. First is the 355 HP 3.0-litre turbocharged petrol V6 motor. Meanwhile, the second option is a hybrid unit that gets an additional electric motor and a 17.9 kWh battery pack. This pumps the total power to 455 Hp.
