Porsche delivered 75 Cayenne units in 6 weeks in India

Porsche has a new milestone to share. The German sports car maker has announced that the company has delivered 75 new Cayennes in India. This number comes just six weeks after the car’s Indian launch. Furthermore, the number aligns with the company’s 75th year anniversary which it is celebrating this year.

Porsche Cayenne Design Details

With the third-gen update, Porsche has given the Cayenne a subtle makeover. This is highlighted by a refreshed front fascia with a resculpted bonnet. We also see a new look for the matrix LED headlights. Customers can get the Cayenne in 12 standard colours. We also get to choose from 24 alloy wheel options that range from 20 inches to 22 inches.

At the back, the SUVs still have a lightbar connecting the tail lamps. But now the shape of its housing and the LED elements in the tail lamps has been slightly updated. The rear of the Cayenne also has a slight nip and tuck. This is because the number plate housing has been moved from the tailgate to the bumper.

Porsche Cayenne Interior Highlights

Talking of the interiors, this is where we see the maximum changes. It now features a Taycan-like design that gets a typical triple-screen dashboard layout. The SUV also benefits from a curved, 12.6-inch digital instrument cluster, and a 12.3-inch touchscreen in the centre. There’s also a 10.9-inch touchscreen for the passenger which is available as an option.

Other changes on the SUV include the Taycan-like digital instrument cluster that gets up to seven different views), a dash-mounted drive selector, a new steering wheel, and a redesigned centre console.

Porsche Cayenne : Powertrain options

Porsche is currently retailing only the base models of the Cayenne and Cayenne Coupe. They use 353 HP, 500 Nm 3.0-litre, twin-turbocharged V6 petrol engine matched to an 8-speed automatic gearbox.

The E-Hybrid models, which will arrive soon will share the same V6 engine. But it also gets the support of the e-motor, producing 470 HP. Its 25.9kWh battery helps it to achieve an electric-only range of up to 90km. As for charging the 11kW on-board charger juices up the battery in around 2.5 hours.
