Porsche is currently celebrating its 75th year anniversary. As part of the new celebrations, the German sports car maker has revealed its updated logo. The new logo features minor design changes and a few colour changes. According to Porsche the new logo will serve as a bridge between the history and the brand’s future.
According to Porsche, the new logo should be instantly recognizable. The new logo will also serve as a bridge between the rich history of the brand and the upcoming future. To this effect, the new logo now has a considerably larger silhouette. The Porsche crest was first used in 1952 and since then has been evolved over time.
The entire design process of this new logo took three years. Other changes include increasing the width at the top, reducing the bottom and adding recess to certain elements. Meanwhile, other bits were also raised to give the new logo a more three-dimensional effect.
In terms of colours, the design team has used a darker gold tinge, along with a thinner font. Even the antlers found on the Porsche’s coat of arms get the same treatment.
In terms of lettering, the Stuttgart branding makes its way back to the crest. Further, the horse in the centre is now more thoroughbred thanks to its dynamic and angry appearance.
That said, owners of classic Porsches will still be able to order older logos for their rides.
The new 2023 Porsche Panamera will be the first Porsche to sport the new logo from the factory. Dealerships will also be making the changes along the same time. This new Panamera is more of an evolution rather than an all-new model as compared to the outgoing car.
