The Indian subsidiary of Italian Piaggio Group, PVPL (Piaggio Vehicles Pvt Ltd.) has launched the Ape’ City+ through which it indicates the entry in the mid-body segment of three-wheelers in the Indian market. Piaggio Group is a world leader in the two-wheeler sector and it’s 100% subsidiary, Piaggio Vehicle Pvt Ltd., is one of India’s leading manufacturer in the small commercial segment.
The new Ape’ City+ has features such as best-in-class mileage, best-in-class legroom, highest-in-class power and torque, increased headroom, extra luggage space, a high ground clearance and stepless entry. The three-wheeler is suitable for passenger transport and will cater to the urban and suburban needs.
The Piaggio Ape’ City + will be available in four fuel options – LPG, CNG, Petrol and Diesel. The Ape’ City+ will come in India’s first 230cc engine with three-valves and a multi-fuel option in the Alternate Fuel (AF) category and the Three-wheeler will also come in a 436cc diesel engine. This product is built from the ground up and is jointly developed by the development teams from India and Italy. The three-wheeler will be available in three colour options.
The Ape’ City+ will come with a 3-years/1 lakh km warranty as standard and the diesel variant will come with a 42-months/1.2 lakh km warranty. Under a Super Saver Scheme, the Petrol/CNG/LPG variants get the benefit of 5 free scheduled services with general maintenance, parts and labour in the 1st year.
