Petronas TVS Racing Team dominate at Indian National Rally Championship

At the Indian National Rally Championship (INRC) held in Coorg, TVS secured the first position in the opening round. Petronas TVS Racing team achieved victory in all 3 categories it participated in. The categories were, Group A – Foreign Open Class (450cc), Group B – Indian Experts Class (260cc) and Scooter Class (210cc).

The defending champion of Group A – Foreign Open Class 450, Rajendra RE, dominated in the competition by continuing his winning streak from last year. He, at the end of the event, was awarded with the ‘Best Rider of the Day’ badge. Following Rajendra RE, the second position was secured by Samuel Jacob and third by Abdul Wahid Tanveer.

The Group B – Indian Experts Class 260cc race category was won by Imran Pasha while riding the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V based TR 200R. The modified bike showed superior performance because of the modified rally suspension, rally geometry and rally tuned engine.

Lastly, in the Scooter Class of up to 210cc, Asif Ali secured the first position and Karthik Naidu came second. The category they participated in, was solely for riders with scooters. Both participants landed in the top 2 with the TR SXR 125R (TVS NTorq 125).

TVS Petronas Racing Team was then felicitated with the ‘Best Team in Motorcycles and Scooters class’ by the INRC. TVS Apache and TVS NTorq 125 have become the fastest growing vehicles in the respective segments.
