MG Motor India has gifted Bhavina Patel with a customized Hector SUV. Commemorating her achievement of winning the silver medal in the recently held Tokyo Paralympics 2020, MG has come up with this idea. The vehicle gets a handful of customization to facilitate a pleasurable driving experience. Key upgrades include a hand-controlled lever to operate the accelerator and brakes and specially engineered wheelchair attachments. This variant gets the DCT transmission with a start/stop button, thus enhancing the convenience to a whole new level. With this, MG also wants to reflect upon its women-centric initiatives. The carmaker wants to share Bhavina Patel’s exemplary grit and determination with this token of appreciation.
MG Motor India Sales
MG Motor India sold a total of 2,481 units for November 2021. The sporadic supply of semiconductor chips is a major deterrent in the manufacturing of new vehicles. And MG Motor India is also facing major challenges due to this. The demand is growing stronger with the recent introduction of Astor. But the semiconductor supply shortage is pushing the delivery dates for the customers. MG mentioned that they are working hard to serve its customers to the best. In the electric mobility segment, MG India is planning to introduce a new offering in the INR 10 to 15 lakh price bracket. Once launched, the vehicle will go head to head with Nexon electric which is the country’s best selling electric four-wheeler.
MG Gloster
Gloster recently completed its one-year anniversary. MG Motor India celebrated the event by organizing a 4×4 off-road driving experience for the owners. MG has provided an update to the customers who are waiting for the delivery of their Astor. As per MG, they are targeting to deliver the first lot of Astor of 5,000 units before the start of next year. But if the dates get postponed, keeping in mind the uncertain availability of semiconductor chips, MG will protect the customers against any price hike.
