Ola teases new electric motorcycle, could arrive on Independence Day

Ola Electric is planning to unveil a new electric motorcycle in the Indian market. The brand has teased the new motorcycles front end silhouette. While it does not reveal much, but we speculate that the new electric motorcycle could come with a quirky and futuristic design. In addition to this, the brand also revealed that the new electric motorcycle will be launched on the 15th of August at Sankalp 2024.

Future of Motorcycling

According to Ola Electric, the new motorcycle is the “future of motorcycling” and appears to come with LED projector headlamps. Also, upon its launch the new EV will become the brand’s first motorcycle to be on offer. However, the teaser does not reveal much about the design of the electric motorcycle and which segment it plans to target.

Power Cruiser Concept?

Having said that, we speculate that the upcoming e-motorcycle could be based on one of the concepts that the brand showcased in the past. If that is true, the new electric motorcycle could be a power cruiser motorcycle with a mass-forward design and a sloping tail section. The rider’s triangle is also likely to be aggressive with mid to rear set foot pegs. The motorcycle is also likely to come with a small fly screen, angular tank shrouds and a wide handlebar with a cross brace.

Powertrain Specification Still a Secret

While powertrain details of the Ola Electric motorcycle is still scarce, the brand is likely to offer a mid-mounted motor with a belt driven rear wheel. Speculation is that the Ola Electric motorcycle will come with a battery pack with enough juice to traverse around 200 km on a single charge and the motor is likely to be capable of achieving triple digit speeds.
