OLA cashless in-app tipping feature so customer’s can express gratitude

One of the world’s largest Internet-based cab-hailing aggregate OLA has rolled out a new feature that allows in-app tipping. The feature has been released on a global level and is available across India, Australia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom. OLA customers can now express their gratitude by tipping their drivers who deliver a high-quality ride experience and go the extra mile for better customer experience. The entire tipping amount is credited to the drivers’ account which helps them with increased income in trying times such as the ongoing pandemic.

As lockdown rule in parts of the country ease-off in a phased manner, OLA cabs with permissions from the local law enforcement, have started delivering safe and hygienic services following all the health and safety protocols and sanitising the cabs after every trip. The in-app feature is completely voluntary and serves as an opportunity to reward the drivers who have delivered an exceptional service.

The brand also launched a new RideSafeIndia initiative under which the brand is ensuring superior vehicle standards for Ola Autos increasing its safety quotient, in view of the CoronaVirus / COVID-19 pandemic. Through this new initiative, OLA has employed various techniques to ensure the safety of both the customer and their driver-partner.

In view of the COVID-19 pandemic and to protect both its customers and driver-partners will be fitting a protective partition screen between the driver-partner and passenger section on all OLA Autos as a layer of protection. The brand has also set up a network of over 100 fumigation centres across the country to enable mandatory fumigation for all vehicles every 48 hours.

The Cashless tipping feature will appear in the final phase of payment and allow customers to select a fixed or customised amount that goes towards the tips. The in-app tipping feature is available on all categories and will benefit the brand’s 2.5 Million plus driver’s community.

OLA also launched the OLA Emergency this year in April, to enable essential medical trips to and from homes to hospitals and vice versa across 25 cities in India.
