Ola has confirmed that they have recorded over INR 1,100 crores of sales in just two days. This amount is one of the highest in a day by value for a single product not only in the automotive market but also in e-commerce history. Customers have shown an overwhelming response as the bookings skyrocketed in these two days. Interested customers can still make their reservations by visiting Ola electric’s official website.
The company has confirmed that they will reopen the purchase window on November 1, 2021, which is just before Diwali. Thus, interested customers looking to buy one should make their reservations as soon as possible. Just for clarification, Ola has also said that the customers who had reserved their product but did not make their purchase in this window are eligible to make their purchase in November.
The introduction of Ola products is a massive boost for the electric scooter segment. The company has invested a lot of resources which is very much evident. Customers also appreciate the company’s effort, and this is visible from the overwhelming purchase response. The manufacturing facility dubbed the largest two-wheeler plant talks volumes of the company’s dedication towards serving the customers. With high levels of localisation, Ola resonates with the ‘Make In India’ initiative quite brilliantly. India being the world largest two-wheeler market, Ola pretty much understands what is at stake. Currently, the company is entirely focused on serving its customers to the best of its ability.
Retailing at INR 99,999 for the S1 and INR 129,999 for the S1 Pro, Ola has been spot-on with the pricing of the scooters. Add to this, the central government revised the Fame-II subsidy and various other state government initiatives, making owning an electric vehicle so much more lucrative.
