Okinawa e-scooter now available with custom hand painting from factory

Electric mobility brand Okinawa has announced a new custom hand painting service for its electric scooters and future products. The brand has introduced customizable themes such as Crystal, Chameleon, Superhero etc., and the scooters are hand-painted by professional artists with premium quality colours according to the customer’s desired theme. In addition to this, every theme is designed by hand and customer’s can also get their initials painted on the e-scooter to give it a personalised touch. 

The brand has also launched an online configurator on its newly designed website according to which the brand charges INR 15,000 for the new custom hand-painting service. The custom hand painting service for the Okinawa Lite features Crumbled Gold Theme, Honeycomb Theme, Patina Distress Rust Theme, Satin Matt Theme. The themes available for Praise, IPraise+ and PraisePro are – Super Hero Theme, Galaxy Theme, Patina Distress Rust Theme, Honeycomb Theme, Crumbled Gold Theme and themes available for the Ridge+, R30, Ridge, Ridge30 are – Chameleon Pearl Theme, Crystal Effect Theme, Crumbled Gold Theme, Honeycomb Theme, Galaxy Theme. 

The customer can purchase the e-scooter online along with the available theme through the Okinawa website and once the scooter is ready, it is delivered through the local dealership.

At the 15th edition of the Auto Expo 2020, Okinawa showcased a custom painted electric Maxi-Scooter called Okinawa Cruiser with abstract graphics large up-swept headlight, LED tail lights, raised handlebars, a small fly screen, aluminium finished control levers, disc brakes on both the front and rear wheels, headlight integrated turn indicator lamps, a large and wide semi step-up seat, a glove compartment, grab rails, wide profile tyres and machine-finished alloy wheels. 

In recent news, the Gurugram headquartered brand which also claims to be one of the first company’s to receive the Govt. of India’s FAME II (Faster Adoption and Manufacture of hybrid and Electric vehicles) approval has announced that the brand will be making its first 100% fully localized electric two-wheeler – ‘OKI 100’ to promote the ‘Make in India’ and ‘Vocal for Local’ vision. 

The brand has also revealed that all the components except the battery cells of the upcoming Oki 100 will be manufactured in India. The Oki 100 will be launched in FY 2020-21 and will be powered by a lithium-ion battery pack and can achieve a top speed of 100 kmph.
