Okinawa Dual electric scooter launched in India at INR 58,998

Electric mobility solutions company, Okinawa has launched a new electric scooter in the Indian market dubbed Okinawa ‘Dual’ at the price of INR 58,998 ex-showroom. The Okinawa Dual electric two-wheeler is designed especially for last-mile delivery purposes and comes with provisions for front luggage carrying box, as well as provisions to the sides and rear for carrying more luggage. 

The Okinawa features a purposeful design with a single rider’s seat, an external frame painted in red or yellow, an LED headlight, upright handlebars, luggage mounting frame on the front with a large closed box to carry small packages for delivery as well as medical supplies. The luggage carrying frame on the rear is designed to carry bulky items such as gas cylinders, large water bottles or large boxes. The Okinawa Dual comes with luggage carrying capacity of 200 kgs. 

The Dual electric scooter boasts to come with the largest carrying capacity in the electric scooter segment and the e-scooter can be customised according to use. The Okinawa Dual also features a large floorboard with rubber matting, footrests on the sides, a water bottle holder, mobile phone holder, mobile phone charging port, telescopic front suspension and disc brakes. 

The Okinawa Dual is powered by a 250W electric motor coupled to a 48W 55Ah Li-ion user-removable battery pack that offers a top speed of 25 kmph and a long range of around 120 km on a single charge. The battery pack requires 4 to 5 hours to charge fully but 80% state of charge can be achieved in approximately 1 hour. The Okinawa Dual is also offered in a personal mobility variant which comes with a push-type pillion seat and a smaller 28Ah battery pack that provides a range of 60 km on a single charge and takes 2 to 3 hours to recharge fully, but 80% state of charge can be achieved in just 45 minutes. 

The Okinawa Dual is available in two colour options – Sunshine Yellow and Fire Red. The brand is also offering a 3-year/30,000 km warranty on the power unit as well as a 3-year warranty on the battery for a hassle-free user experience.
