Another electric motorcycle makes its way. Mumbai-based electric vehicle manufacturer Odysse Electric Vehicles has brought in its new electric motorbike, VADER. Currently, it is retailing at an introductory price of INR 1,09,999 (ex-showroom Ahmedabad). Odysse Electric Vehicles also has plans to launch an electric scooter in 3Q23.
This completely Made in-India motorcycle is India’s first motorbike to get a 7-inch android display. VADER motorcycle comes with a certified range of 125 km in Eco mode and it also benefits from the Odysse EV App.
Odysse VADER uses a 3,000 Watts electric motor. With this motor, the motorcycle maxes out at a top speed of 85 kmph. Weighing 128 kg, the electric motorcycle benefits from a slew of features. This includes a combi braking system (CBS), 240mm disc brake at the front and 220mm disc brake on the rear side. For the convenience of charging, the company has included an IP67 AIS 156-approved Lithium-ion battery. The company claims that the battery can juice up to 100 per cent in 4 hours. As for the storage capacity, the motorcycle also gets 18 litres of storage space.
Odysse’s main goal is to provide sustainable and affordable mobility thus making it accessible to everyone. And hence the first step towards achieving this goal is giving the customers an affordable product that everybody can buy.
Furthermore, the company also has plans to launch an electric scooter in 3Q23. Given the rising demand, the EV maker will also increase the dealership network to over 150, by the year’s end. With more showrooms, the company is expecting to increase sales by at least 300 per cent.
The electric motorcycle comes with a 3 years warranty on the battery, and 3 years warranty on Powertrain. Odysse VADER is available for booking Online. And at the same time, it is also available across the company’s dealership network of 68 outlets at a booking amount of INR 999. Odysse confirmed that the deliveries of Vader will start from July this year.
