After Oben Rorr, Oben Electric has launched its second electric motorcycle, the Rorr EZ. The Rorr EZ will be available at an introductory price of INR 89,999 for a limited time.
The bike looks similar to the previous Rorr; however, changes can be seen in its color and graphics. The bike comes with three riding modes: Eco, City, and Havoc. These same riding modes can be seen in its previous model, the Rorr. It has a varicoloured LED display, theft protection and geo-fencing. The Rorr Ez comes with three battery pack options: 3.4 kWh, which offers a range of 140 km, 4.4 kWh, offering a 175 km range, and its base variant of 2.6 kWh, which offers a range of 110 km.
This electric bike can be charged with a charger that is provided with the bike and is included in the buying cost. There is an alternative option of a fast charger; however, its price hasn’t been disclosed yet by Oben Electric.
The 3.4 kWh battery takes up to 5 hours, the 4.4 kWh battery takes 7 hours, and its base variant of 2.6 kWh takes 4 hours to be fully charged. With the fast charger, the batteries can take up to 1 hour and 30 minutes, 2 hours and 45 minutes, respectively.
All three variants share the same motor that generates the power of 7.5 kW or 10.5 horsepower and 52 Nm of torque. Oben claims that the bike can sprint from 0 to 40 kmph in 3.3 seconds and has a top speed of 95 kmph. The kerb weight of each variant is different according to its battery pack: 3.4 kWh is 143 kg, 4.4 kWh is 148 kg, and 2.6 kWh is 138 kg.
The base variant comes in a starting price of INR 89,999. However, its mid-spec variant of 3.4 kWh and top-spec of 4.4 kWh will cost INR 99,999 and INR 1.10 lakhs, respectively. Bookings are open and the motorcycles can be booked at INR 2,999 with immediate deliveries available. Test rides are also open at Oben stores. Oben is also offering an EMI option through which the Rorr EZ can be bought at INR 2,200 per month.
