Norton V4SV revealed with carbon fibre bodywork

British motorcycle manufacturer Norton, owned by TVS Motors, has unveiled its latest luxury superbike, the Norton V4SV. One of the few British-built and designed superbikes in production, the Norton V4SV has been inspired by road racing. Created and tested on the Isle of Man TT, the V4SV celebrates the company’s 100 years of racing success. The new Norton V4SV replaces the old V4SS to become Norton’s flagship superbike priced at GBP 44,000 or INR 40.88 lakh.

2021 Norton V4SV: Design and Colors 

Norton offers the new V4SV with a choice of two colour schemes, namely Manx and Carbon. The Manx colour scheme features a silver-coloured body along with red and black pinstripes along the sides. Other details include coloured Union Jack flags at the rear saddle, and Red OZ racing forged aluminium wheels. The Carbon colour scheme features lacquered carbon-fibre bodywork, monochrome Union Jack flags, Grey pinstripes, and carbon-fiber BST wheels.

In terms of design, the Norton V4SV sports a complete carbon-fibre bodywork which includes a 15-litre carbon-fibre fuel tank. Along with the fuel tank that’s Kevlar-reinforced, the bike features unique billet-machined footrests and pedals. The bike also sports an aluminium, mirror-finished, tubular frame paired to a braced and underslung single-sided billet swingarm.

2021 Norton V4SV: Technical Specifications 

Powering the V4SV is a 1200cc V4 engine producing 185 PS of power and 125 Nm of torque. These performance figures are slightly less than its predecessor, the V4SS, producing 200 PS and 130 Nm respectively. Norton offers the bike with dual 330mm front Brembo discs and a single 245mm rear disc brake for braking performance. The bike also comes equipped with a fully adjustable Ohlins NIX30 front fork and an Ohlins TTXGP rear monoshock suspension.

2021 Norton V4SV: Features 

Norton offers the V4SV with an LED headlamp, indicators, tail light, and three distinct riding modes. The Wet, Road, and Sport modes allow the rider to customize the bike based on their preference with electronic aids. These electronic aids include a traction control system with a quick shift system which includes an auto blipper. The bike sports a fully-coloured, 6-inch display with automatic brightness, a rear-view camera, DRL-style lighting mode, and ‘Engine Mode’ adjustment. The bike is also comes with a keyless ignition system with an electronic steering lock.
