Nissan Magnite compact-SUV production begins, to be launched in 20 variants

Nissan is gearing up to launch the all-new Magnite compact-SUV in India. This sub-4 metre SUV has already been revealed in a recent global premiere and the production has now commenced at the brands plant in Oragadam, Chennai. The Nissan Magnite is a Made-in-India & made for the world product and will be exported to key emerging markets under the Nissan NEXT strategy. As we all know by now, the Nissan Magnite was earlier going to be launched under the Datsun brand.

Nissan has now officially revealed that the Magnite will be sold in a total of 20 variants. The 1.0L B4D petrol manual gearbox version will be available in XE, XL, XV, XV Tech Pack, XV Premium and XV Premium Tech Pack. The 1.0L HRA0 turbo-petrol version with manual gearbox will be available in XL, XV, XV Tech Pack, XV Premium, XV Premium Tech Pack, XV Premium (O) and XV Premium (O) Tech Pack. The 1.0L HRA0 turbo-petrol with CVT gearbox will be sold in XL, XV, XV Tech Pack, XV Premium, XV Premium Tech Pack, XV Premium (O) & XV Premium (O) Tech Pack.

Nissan will introduce the Magnite compact-SUV with a 1.0L. B4D, naturally aspirated, 3-cylinder petrol engine matched to a 5-speed manual gearbox. For those who want the convenience of an automatic, the 1.0L, HRA0 turbocharged petrol motor will offer a CVT automatic gearbox along with an option of a 5-speed manual gearbox.

The Nissan Magnite will be loaded with features, in a bid to appeal a wider chunk of new car buyers. Even the base XE model will come standard with 16″ wheels, 3.5″ LCD digital cluster, all power windows, dual tone interiors and roof rails with load carrying capacity. Other variants on the Magnite include 6-speaker sound system, steering mounted audio controls, automatic climate controls, power folding & adjustable rear view mirrors, diamond cut alloy wheels on XV variants, LED DRLs, LED fog lamps, LED headlamps with bi-projector setup, 8″ floating touchscreen infotainment, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, 7″ TFT meter, rear view camera, engine start stop button, 360-degree camera support, TPMS, cruise control, etc.

The optional Tech pack for the Nissan Magnite will include wireless phone charger, portable air purifier, ambient lights, puddle lamps and JBL speakers.
