When Nissan Magnite made its debut, in the Indian market, the brand gave customers options of 20 variants with as much as 36 combinations to choose from and in addition, the brand also offers the Tech Pack as an optional extra. The B-SUV came with a low price tag of INR 4.99 lakh ex-showroom but the offer was only for a limited time period and as soon as the time period expired Nissan hiked INR 50,000 on the ex-showroom price of the Magnite MT XE, the entry-level variants of the crossover SUV. Now, prices on other variants have also been increased, effective from 2nd March 2021, but Nissan will be offering price protection to customers who have already made bookings for the vehicle before the W.E.F date.
The Nissan Magnite XL Turbo that came with a price tag of INR 6.99 lakh sees a hike of INR 30,000 and is now INR 7.29 lakh. The Magnite XV Turbo is INR 16,000 more expensive, the Magnite XV Turbo Premium O sees a hike of INR 26,000, the XL Turbo CVT is INR 30,000 more expensive than the previous price list, the XV Turbo CVT see a hike of INR 16,000 and the Magnite XV Premium CVT O trim now demands INR 26,000 more than before.
Apart from the change in price, there are no mechanical changes to the Nissan Magnite. Powering the B-SUV are two engine options – a 1.0-litre three-cylinder naturally-aspirated petrol motor that produces 72 PS of power and 96 Nm of torque that comes with a 5-Speed manual and a 1.0-litre three-cylinder turbo-petrol engine that pushes out 100 PS of power and 160 Nm of torque on the 5-speed manual gearbox option and 152 Nm of torque on the X-TRONIC CVT automatic gearbox. The Nissan Magnite uses the CMFA+ platform and measures 3994mm in length, 1758mm in width, 1572mm in height, 2500mm of the wheelbase, 205mm of ground clearance and 336 litres of the boot space.
