Nissan Magnite CNG – engine, mileage, and price details

As per a report published online, Nissan India will introduce the CNG option for Magnite in April. However, it will not be a factory fitment but a dealer-level accessory kit, which will be similar to the Renault Kiger CNG that has been introduced recently.

As per the details, Nissan will offer the CNG fitment option to customers for every variant. However, the powertrain with which it is going to be offered is the 1.0-litre naturally-aspirated, three-cylinder engine with a 5-speed manual transmission.

Mind you, this engine option produces 71 bhp and 96 Nm of peak power and torque in its pure petrol guise. Moreover, it offers a claimed 19.4 km/l of fuel economy for the petrol. However, the report suggests that the CNG option will deliver 18-22 km/kg of fuel economy.

Moreover, Nissan will offer a standard warranty of 3 years and 1,00,000 kilometres for the car and a 1-year warranty for the CNG kit. Additionally, the dealership will ensure that the CNG fuel type is well versed on the RC of the car without any additional cost.

Recently, Renault India also introduced a similar scheme of CNG kit options for the Kiger, Kwid, and Triber models. The pricing for those models range from Rs 75,000 to Rs 79,000 for the CNG kit, in addition to the price of the variant chosen.

Therefore, we can safely assume that the Magnite CNG kit will also be priced near Rs 75,000 (more or less).
