Written by News Team

Nissan Motor India has launched the Magnite Geza CVT Special Edition at INR 9.84 Lakh. The Geza Edition is inspired by Japanese theatre and its musical themes. This is an update to the Geza edition that was introduced last year.

Magnite Geza – What to Expect?

Since the Geza Edition is inspired by Japanese musical themes, it focuses more on the infotainment and the music system in the car. Key features of the Magnite Geza include:

  • High-resolution 22.86cm touchscreen
  • Android CarPlay with wireless connectivity
  • Premium JBL speaker system
  • Rear camera with trajectory line
  • Ambient lighting with Nissan app-based controls
  • Premium beige coloured seat upholstery as optional
  • Unique GEZA Edition badge

Powering the Magnite Geza is the 999 cc turbocharged petrol mill that makes 99 bhp and 152 Nm of torque. This engine is mated to an automatic CVT transmission. Priced at INR 9.84 lakh, the Magnite Geza is one of the most loaded premium vehicles in the B-SUV segment priced under 10 lakh. The cherry on the cake is the automatic transmission.

Mr. Saurabh Vatsa, Managing Director, Nissan Motor India Pvt. Ltd. (NMIPL), said, “We are delighted to introduce the newest variant of the Magnite following the tremendous success of the GEZA Special Edition last year. We have identified a significant opportunity based on customer feedback in the market to offer premium features at an accessible price point.”

Need For Affordable Automatic Options

The Indian consumers are gravitating towards automatic transmissions. However, the price to get an automatic is much higher than their manual counterparts. Also, the budget automatics come with the AMT transmission which is not the most pleasant automatic driving experience. There is a dire need for vehicles with proper automatic transmissions at an affordable price point. It is good to see companies like Nissan bringing in a more accessible CVT variant without compromising on features and safety.
