Suzuki reveals Jimny 5-door Heritage Edition SUV, not in India yet

Suzuki has launched the new Jimny Heritage in the international market. The Suzuki Jimny Heritage is available in the 5-door avatar which retails as the Jimny XL in the Australian market. The Jimny Heritage will be available as a limited edition car and celebrates its 4X4 history from the 1970’s, 80s and 90s. This is when the Jimny cult began and it was all about freedom reveals the brand.

Suzuki Jimny Heritage – Features

Now available only in the 5-door, long wheelbase body, the Jimny Heritage features special Heritage decals. The Heritage model is available in the White, Chiffon Ivory + Bluish Black Pearl, Jungle Green, Bluish Black Pearl or Granite Grey Metallic colour ways with the yellow and orange decals running across its sides and back. The Jimny also comes with black surrounds on the wheel arches as well as a black roof. The car also gets red front and rear mudflaps

In terms of features the Jimny Heritage comes with a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. While the SUV features a retro theme and a ‘Heritage’ badge however there is no tape deck on offer. Suzuki also offers Jimny Heritage cargo tray and Jimny Heritage Pack with the limited edition model.

Suzuki Jimny Heritage – Specifications

In the engine department, the Jimny Heritage remains unchanged. The SUV comes with a 1.5-litre naturally-aspirated petrol engine producing 103 Hp of power and 132 Nm of torque. The brand offers the Jimny SUV with a 5-speed manual transmission and ALL-GRIP PRO four-wheel-Drive. The Jimny measures 3,985mm in length, 1,645mm in width and 1,720mm in height.

The Jimny Heritage will have a limited 500 unit production run and it surely does take us to the 70s, 80s and 90s. However it is unlikely that Maruti Suzuki will bring the theme to the Indian market.
