Nissan Motor India has announced its sales report for November 2022. The cumulative wholesales stood at 6,746 units. This includes domestic wholesales of 2,400 units and export wholesales of 4,346 units, for the given period. The cumulative wholesale YTD growth translates to 22 per cent as compared to the same period last year.
Nissan mentioned that the booking fulfilments have continued into November after the festive season. Thus indicating that demand is benefiting from several positive indicators. This includes improvement in economic activities and confident consumer sentiments. Going ahead, Nissan is expecting stable demand from tier-I and tier-II cities.
Nissan attributed the success of the Magnite, to a combination of its great features, and attractive pricing. Furthermore, a renewed commitment to customer-centricity has been added to emphasise customer satisfaction across its operations.
This was more prevalent in the recently concluded Nissan Quality Month initiative. This underlines Nissan’s ‘Always Think of The Customer’ value during celebrations held across Nissan’s pan-India network. Held from September 26 to November 10, 2022, this initiative’s main focus was on enhancing customer satisfaction through process excellence and continuous improvement.
Nissan has reinforced the campaign by extending the celebration’s focus to ‘Best in Class Sales and Service’ processes under the theme ‘MOVE Beyond’. The celebrations brought in all of Nissan’s dealership personnel. They further reaffirmed their commitment to the Nissan Quality Oath.
Nissan India’s strong sales performance has its base on the success of the Nissan Magnite. The compact SUV continues to be the preferred choice of vehicle in the B-SUV segment. Magnite has garnered over 1 lakh bookings. Launched back in December 2020, Nissan Magnite is currently available at a starting ex-showroom price of INR 5.97 lakh. Designed in Japan and made in India, Magnite underlines Nissan India’s manufacturing philosophy of ‘Make-In-India, Make for the World’.
In July 2022, Nissan also announced the launch of the Magnite Red Edition. This trim starts at an attractive price of INR 7.86 lakh (ex-showroom).
Currently, Nissan exports Magnite to over 15 countries. The most recent launches are being held in Nepal, Bhutan, and Bangladesh. Nissan India commenced its exports in September 2010.
The company exports vehicles from its Renault-Nissan Automotive India Ltd. plant in Chennai. This is taking place across 108 countries. This includes New Zealand, Australia, and Middle Eastern countries. Then there are countries in Europe, Latin America, South-East Asia, SAARC; Sub Sahara, and Africa. In recent years, Nissan India has shifted its primary export market focus from Europe to Middle Eastern countries.
