Ninety One, one of India’s emerging sustainable mobility brands, announces the launch of Meraki S7. This is an E-bike that gets unique features, including a Shimano Tourney 7-Speed Gear Set, 5-Mode Pedal Assist and has a smart LCD with speed indication for the convenience of the users. Priced at INR 34,999, Meraki 37 enters the now much competitive E-bike segment in the country. Furthermore, the bike is also rain and dustproof, which adds to the peace of mind of the rider. In terms of safety, Meraki S7 gets 160mm disc brakes and Hi-Traction Nylon Tyres. Additionally, the E-bike also gets a tamper-proof lock and key, thus making the cycle even more reliable.

Does Buying An E-Bike Make Any Sense?

Ninety One mentioned that this is the perfect commuter vehicle for anyone looking to ride 30 to 40 km per day. Mainly targeting the ever-evolving India’s millennials and Gen-Z population, this vehicle aims to disrupt the E-bike segment. Under the philosophy of ‘make-in-India, made-for-the-world’, Ninety One is all prepared to enter the highly competitive Indian two-wheeler industry. Given the growing sentiment to opt for personal vehicles, these E-bikes are the most affordable alternative. Being electric also helps curtail the cost. And at the same time, they also provide the features of a conventional mechanical cycle. This product will perfectly resonate with someone looking for an affordable commuter at the same time, and act as a fitness tool as well.

Key Features

Being electric, it is important to know the riding range. Ninety one claims that with the equipped 6.36 AH battery, one can extract close to 18 km with throttle and 35 km with pedal assist. The motor is a 250-watt rated IP 65 unit. To ensure a comfortable ride, Meraki S7 gets a hi-tensile carbon steel frame that gets the support of 80mm travel suspension fork at the front. Other key features include dual width rust-free alloy wheels, an electronic lock system and 160mm disc brakes.

Ninety One’s Current Brand Network

To become successful as a brand, it is very important to have a presence in major parts of this vast country. As of today, the company has laid down its network across 500 cities with a total of over 1000+ retail stores. As per the latest statistics, Ninety One sells close to 20,000+ bikes per month. This comes with the help of the brand’s robust omnichannel distribution network. Currently, about 80%+ of its sales come from the men category. But, the company is shifting its focus towards the kids and women category through innovative product launches.
