NIJ Automotive has just launched its newest electric scooter for the Indian market. The EV maker is calling the new model the Accelero R14. The scooter comes with a host of features for more convenience. The starting price of the scooter is INR 45,000 ex-showroom. Hence, the manufacturer claims it is the cheapest electric scooter that Indians can buy. In addition to this, the company also offers finance and insurance facilities.
The EV 2-wheeler market in India is rapidly expanding. Furthermore, more affordable options such as the NIJ Automotive Accelero R14 help with this expansion. With the increasing EV adoption rates, we expect to see a reduction in pollution levels in a few years.
The latest electric scooter from NIJ Automotive is available in two battery variants – Lead Acid battery and Lithium ferrous phosphate. The base variant’s pricing starts from INR 45,000. This variant comes with a 48V 28 Ah lead-acid battery. At the same time, the top-end variant costs INR 89,999. This variant also gets a dual LFP battery pack. The pricing mentioned is ex-showroom pricing. The Accelero R14 is already available in Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh and more.
The Accelero R14, with a 48V lead-acid battery, can deliver a range of up to 50 km. Meanwhile, the larger 60V lead-acid battery pack delivers a range of up to 60 km. The LFP battery pack variants get two riding modes – City and Eco. The base LFP variant is the 48V 30 Ah LFP battery pack. This variant can deliver up to 65 km in the city. Using the Eco mode increases the range further to 90 km. At the same time, the dual 48V 30 Ah LFP battery pack delivers up to 132 km in City mode. Meanwhile, in the Eco mode, the company claims it will deliver up to 190 km of range.
The Accelero R14 is available in four colour options – Thunder Blue, Typhoon Grey, Power Red and Phantom Black. The electric scooter also gets a 180mm dual-piston disc brake and tubeless tyres. Other features include dual coil spring hydraulic suspension. Furthermore, for more convenience, it also gets features like Reverse Assist. As for comfort, the scooter gets a Cruise Control. Safety features include a One Touch Anti Theft alarm. All these features mean the scooter scores high on features. All this at an affordable price point.
