Next-gen Tata Nexon SUV – what to expect?

As per an online report, Tata is currently working on Nexon’s new generation model. It is called ‘Garud’ internally and it will feature a heavily reworked version of the X1 platform used by the current generation model. Moreover, it is expected to continue using the same engine options as the current generation but with power revamps.

Mind you, the Nexon compact SUV was launched in September 2017 in India. Ever since, it has been a hit among the compact SUV market due to its spacious cabin, affordable price, and safe structure. Over the years, Tata has revised the Nexon with new designs and refined powertrain options.

The X1 platform on which the Nexon is based is a reworked version of the original Indica hatchback’s architecture. The next generation Nexon will also use the same platform but with changes to incorporate more safety and efficiency.

Meanwhile, the current generation car has multiple engine options, including a petrol, a diesel, a CNG, and even an EV. All these options cater to a wide array of buyers searching for an affordable, economical, and safe compact SUV.

For now, the known details regarding the upcoming generation model are scarce. However, we assume that in the following months, we will be able to get our hands on more details about the changes that the new-gen model will embrace.
