At the beginning of 2024, Triumph Motorcycles debuted the Daytona 660 motorcycle in the international market. It was speculated back then that the motorcycle will arrive in India by March 2024. Then the launch was expected to take place in may 2024. However, it appears that the India launch of the Daytona 660 has been delayed further. Speculation is that Triumph is likely to launch the Daytona 660 by the end of June 2024 or July 2024. However, there is still no official confirmation from the brand.
Triumph Daytona 660 – Technical Specifications
Powering the Daytona 660 is a 660cc liquid-cooled three-cylinder engine with a 240-degree firing order. The Triumph Triple produces 95 PS of power @ 11,250rpm and 69 Nm of torque @ 8,250 rpm. The motorcycle features a tubular steel perimeter frame and steel fabricated twin-sided swing arm. The motorcycle also rides on 41mm upside down Showa Big Piston Separate Function Forks and a Showa monoshock with preload adjustment on the rear. Additionally, the bike also gets twin 310mm floating discs with 4 piston radial callipers on the front and a 220mm single disc on the rear.
Triumph Daytona 660 – New Riding Position
The Triumph Daytona 660 underpins the Trident 660 platform and is not as aggressive as the Daytona 675 which was a track-focused machine. The Daytona 660 appears more of a Sport Tourer thanks to its new riding position. Triumph has positioned the handlebars above the top yoke offering a balanced feedback between dynamic sports riding as well as comfortable long distance riding. The motorcycle also comes with a light steering to enable easy urban manoeuvres, a practical windscreen an 810mm seat height and narrow stand over to enable riders even with short inseam to ride the motorcycle with ease.
Triumph Daytona 660 – Features
The Triumph Daytona 660 also comes with features such as LED lighting, ride-by-wire throttle and three riding modes – Sport, Road and Rain. The bike also gets traction control, ABS and Emergency Deceleration Warning system. The Daytona 660 also comes with a multi-function TFT LCD display along with My Triumph Connectivity.
