The new Sierra comes with a 19-inch front wheel and a 17-inch rear wheel, both equipped with dual-purpose tubeless tyres for enhanced off-road capability. The SUV offers a 10 kg payload capacity for top boxes, making it practical for touring. The interior includes amenities like a premium sound system, wireless phone charger, and ventilated front seats.
Tata Motors has not yet announced the launch timeline or pricing for the new Sierra. However, we know that the Sierra will be positioned between the Tata Curvv and the Tata Harrier. This means that it will priced a little higher than the Curvv but lower than the Harrier.
The Tata Sierra will face competition from established players like Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Mahindra Thar Roxx, Maruti Grand Vitara and Toyota Hyryder. These competitors offer similar features and competitive pricing, making the SUV segment highly competitive.
The new Tata Sierra is a promising addition to the SUV market, offering a blend of performance, utility, and style. The Sierra will bring back an icon from the past in a new avatar. The product positioning is also in a segment which is popular but has stiff competition from established players. We will keep a close watch on how the new SUV performs when it is launched.
