We know that Tata is working on the 2023 Tata Nexon. The updated car is expected to feature a unique two-spoke steering wheel first featured on the Tata Curvv Concept. Now, new images have surfaced online that reveal an illuminated Tata logo on the steering wheel hub.
The flat bottom steering comes with two spokes connected to a central rectangular hub. The steering is covered in a leather wrap. There are steering mounted controls on either side as well. The illuminated logo could be done up using plastic piping. Do note that steering wheels contain an airbag which could mean that there is no proper screen on the central portion.
Tata had showcased a new 1.2-liter petrol engine back at the 2023 Auto Expo. This motor gets a direct injector turbo technology. In terms of power output, it develops 125 HP and 225 Nm. Tata could offer this in the new Nexon Facelift.
That said, on the diesel front, Tata is likely to continue with the existing 1.5-liter diesel that churns out 115 HP and 260 Nm of torque. Tata could also launch this facelift in an all-electric guise.
The refreshed Tata Nexon will get a new modern, sharper exterior with a split headlamp design. There could be an LED light bar across the front end as well. The rear could house new slim-design LED tail lamps.
On the inside, the car is expected to come with a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment unit. Alongside, we can also expect a digital instrument cluster.
The sub-4-metre SUV segment is hotly contested segment. Tata Nexon goes up against the likes of the Maruti Brezza, Kia Sonet, Hyundai Venue, Mahindra XUV300, and other sub-4m compact SUVs.
