Powering the 2021 Suzuki Hayabusa is the water-cooled 1340cc in-line four-cylinder four-stroke DOHC engine with electronic fuel injection belting out 187 Hp of power and 150 Nm of torque. While the new engine appears similar to the predecessor in terms of its architecture. The innards of the motor are completely new and come with new profiles on the intake and exhaust camshafts to reduce overlap and provide increased lift, new lighter pistons, a new twin swirl combustion chamber, a new throttle body as well as fuel injectors, new lightweight but stiffer connecting rods and a new three catalytic converter system on the exhaust to conform with the suffocating Euro5 emission norms.

Popularity in India

The motorcycle generated a cult status after its appearance in the Bollywood movie Dhoom and has been popular ever since.
