Last time we reported, that Skoda is planning to launch the new Superb and Octavia in the Indian market. Now new reports suggest that the brand could be planning to introduce the new Superb on 3rd April 2024. Leaked internal documents also suggest that the company is likely to bring the new Skoda Superb to India via the CBU route. Furthermore, the documents also reveal that the Superb will be available in limited numbers.
2024 Skoda Superb – Price and Variants
According to the leaked internal documents, Skoda will bring only 100 units of the Superb in India. The luxury sedan will come the the country via the Completely Built Up (CBU) route. Also, the documents reveal that the new B8 generation Skoda Superb is likely to come with a price tag of around INR 55 lakh ex-showroom. Additionally, the leaked documents also reveal the trim details, technical specifications and the key features on the upcoming Skoda Superb.
Expect the Skoda Superb to be available only in the top-of-the-line Laurin & Klement (L&K) variant. The L&K variant is likely to offer Adaptive LED headlamps and LED fog lamps with cornering function. In addition to this, the L&K Superb is also likely to come with Stratos 17-inch alloy wheels with high-spec tyres. In the EU market the L&K also comes with 18-inch alloy wheels. Obviously the Superb will bear the ‘Laurin & Klement’ inscription on the front fenders.
2024 Skoda Superb – Technical Specification and Features
Under the hood, Skoda is likely to pack a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine for the 2024 Superb. The engine produces around 190 PS of power and 320 Nm of torque. The engine is also likely to come with a 7-speed DSG automatic gearbox. In addition to this, the Skoda Superb could also come with Dynamic Chassis Control and Electronic Differential Lock.
Features may include Columbus infotainment system, digital driver’s display and a Canton sound system with 11 speakers. Also, the Superb is likely to come with ventilated 12-way electrically adjustable front seats with massage function for the driver and front passenger. The Skoda Super is also likely to get a 3-zone automatic climate control system. Safety features may include 9 airbags, a 360-degree camera and Emergency Braking Assist. The brand is likely to offer three colours on the Superb – Rosso Brunello (RED), Water World Green and Magic Black.
