New refreshed Royal Enfield Classic 350 is arriving soon

After the launch of the Guerrilla 450, Royal Enfield is gearing up to launch a refreshed version of its popular Classic 350 model. The updated Classic 350 is expected to hit the market in the first half of August 2024, bringing with it a host of new features aimed at enhancing its appeal while retaining its classic charm.

Key Features and Updates

The upcoming Royal Enfield Classic 350 will feature several significant updates, most notably the introduction of LED lighting across all models. This includes LED headlights, tail-lights, and pilot lamps, which are designed to give the bike a modern look while maintaining its vintage aesthetic. Despite these visual upgrades, the new Classic 350 will remain mechanically identical to its current version, continuing to use the reliable J-series 349cc, air/oil-cooled engine that produces 20.2 bhp and 27 Nm of torque.

Variants and Pricing

The refreshed Classic 350 will be available in multiple variants, including a model with a rear drum brake for the lower-end versions. The current pricing for the Classic 350 ranges from INR1.93 lakh to INR 2.25 lakh ex-showroom. While it is anticipated that the updated model may see a slight price increase, the exact figures are yet to be confirmed.

Market Impact and Strategy

Royal Enfield’s decision to update the Classic 350 comes in response to increasing competition from brands like Honda, Triumph, Harley-Davidson, Hero, and Classic Legends. The company aims to regain market share lost to rivals and even its own Hunter 350 model by offering enhanced features without altering the bike’s mechanical aspects. This strategy is intended to keep costs manageable while providing improved functionality, making the Classic 350 an attractive option for potential buyers looking for modern features in a classic design.
