New Pop-up and City stores by Volkswagen in India

Europe’s largest car manufacturer Volkswagen has announced the opening of their first ‘City’ and ‘Pop-up’ store in Karnataka, India. Both the stores will enhance accessibility to Volkswagen as it will increase the brand’s touch points in the Indian market. Within one year, Volkswagen plans to open 30 new Pop-up and City stores across key markets under the brand’s initiative ‘Fit for the Future’.

The Pop-up store allows customers to get a complete look and feel of the vehicle before they make a purchase. The Pop-up store will provide a more premium and comfortable environment to the buyer and his family, as in most parts of India, purchasing a car still involves opinion and agreement of the entire family.

The City store is based on the Pop-up store. The City store is targeted towards the more young buyers living in the city and urban areas. The City store focuses on efficiency and has a cheerful environment and the store will be paperless and will keep up with the digital era. However, the after-sales service will be associated with the dealerships within the city.

The first Pop-up store in India is inaugurated in Tumkur, Karnataka and the first City store has been inaugurated at Richmond road In Bengaluru City by Volkswagen. Both the stores are now fully operational. Volkswagen in India is spread over 100 cities and with a total network of 119 showrooms and 113 workshops.
