Recently, a convoy of three Mahindra electric SUVs was spotted while fast charging at an underground mall parking in Udaipur, Rajasthan. These vehicles are part of Mahindra’s ambitious plan to revolutionize the premium electric SUV market.
The three electric SUVs caught on camera are:
Mahindra XUV.e8: This model shares its dimensions with the ICE counterpart, the XUV700. Standing side-by-side, the XUV.e8 appears almost the same length as the Toyota Fortuner. It features a front charging port and is likely to come with a 60 kWh or 70 kWh battery pack.
Mahindra XUV.e9: Larger than the XUV.e8, the XUV.e9 boasts a more muscular design. Its charging port is located at the rear on the left side, hinting at a larger battery capacity. The XUV.e9 could offer an 80 kWh battery, capable of fast charging up to 175 kW.
Mahindra BE.05: The BE.05 electric SUV is expected to feature a 60 kWh battery pack, providing a claimed range of around 450 km. Like the XUV.e9, it supports fast charging up to 175 kW, allowing the battery to charge from 5% to 80% in just 30 minutes.
Mahindra’s electric SUV lineup aims to cater to different segments of the market, from compact SUVs to larger, more premium offerings. With fast charging capabilities and competitive ranges, these vehicles could play a crucial role in India’s EV future.
