The New Defender OCTA is here which is set to become the most capable and luxurious Defender to date. This model will be showcased at the Goodwood Festival of Speed from July 11-14, 2024.
The New Defender OCTA features a 4.4-litre Twin Turbo mild-hybrid V8 engine, delivering 626 hp and up to 750 Nm of torque. This powerhouse enables the vehicle to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.0 seconds. Advanced technologies like the 6D Dynamics suspension system enhance both on-road and off-road performance, offering better driveability and comfort. The system includes pitch and roll control and is complemented by revised chassis components designed to handle various surfaces and conditions.
The OCTA model stands out with its imposing design, including a raised ride height, extended wheel arches, and redesigned bumpers. These features not only improve the vehicle’s appearance but also enhance its off-road capabilities, such as better approach and departure angles and deeper wading capability. The model is also distinguished by its new encircled diamond graphic, symbolizing its toughness and luxury.
The Defender OCTA Edition One, available during the first year of production, boasts exclusive specifications such as the new Faroe Green paint, Khaki and Ebony Ultrafabrics interior, and Chopped Carbon Fibre detailing. It rides on 50.80 cm (20-inch) forged alloy wheels with all-terrain tire options. This edition reflects the model’s unique combination of durability and sophistication.
Inside, the Defender OCTA features new Performance Seats with integrated headrests and Body and Soul Seat technology, developed in collaboration with SUBPAC and Coventry University. This technology allows occupants to feel the music through the seats, enhancing the overall experience. The interior materials are highly durable, including options like Ultrafabrics PU and semi-aniline leather, ensuring both luxury and practicality.
