At the Auto Expo 2023 in Delhi, Kia India revealed the new KA4 / Carnival. The brand positions the KA4 / Carnival as a luxury RV and boasts to offer a sophisticated design, world-class safety, innovation and capabilities of advanced driving dynamics. The new Kia KA4 / Carnival also features an all-new design which now departs from the MPV-styling of the current generation Carnival already available in India. The KA4 / Carnival also comes with interiors which look stepped up from the current model. Kia also revealed that the KA4 / Carnival is designed at the brand’s design studio in California.
Kia KA4 / Carnival – Design Highlights
The new KA4 / Carnival features a commanding stance along with a rugged look. The brand’s designers call this – ‘Symphonic Architecture’. This creates a sense of harmony as well as structural energy. The new KA4 / Carnival also features the brand’s signature Tiger Nose grille. The car also comes with new LED headlights and DRLs that integrate well with the grille. Compared to its predecessor, it gets a shorter front overhang, a longer hood and an increased wheelbase. On the rear, the new KA4 / Carnival features a full-width light bar and metallic skid plates.

Kia claims the new KA4 / Carnival boasts of best-in-class passenger and cargo room. Another feature highlight is its slide-flex 2nd-row seating. Furthermore, customers also have the option of VIP lounge seating. In addition to this, the KA4 / Carnival also gets a 12.3-inch infotainment system, dual sunroof, wireless smart charging etc. The new Kia KA4 / Carnival will also feature Rear Occupant Alert. This feature uses Ultrasonic waves to detect passenger movement in the back after the vehicle is locked.

The new Kia KA4 / Carnival will also feature a full suite of ADAS features, these include:-
- Remote Smart Parking Assist
- Lane Following Assist
- Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (FCA)
- Blind-Spot Avoidance Assist (BCA)
Kia KA4 / Carnival – Technical Specifications
In the international markets, the new KA4 / Carnival is available with a 3.5-litre GDi V6 engine. This motor makes 294 PS of power and 355 Nm of torque. The other petrol engine option is a 3.5-litre MPi V6 engine with 272 PS power and 332 Nm of torque. As for the diesel option, there is only one option on offer. This is a 2.2-litre Smartstream engine that makes 202 PS and 440 Nm of torque. None of the engine options is available with a manual gearbox. All of them come matched to an 8-speed torque converter automatic transmission.
