New Kia Carnival getting ready for launch in India

The fourth-gen Kia Carnival has been on sale in the International for quite some time now while we had only the older generation in India. However, there are indications that the new-gen Carnival is making its way for an India launch soon.

New Kia Carnival Spied

The new Kia Carnival has been spied testing in India. Though under heavy camoflauge, there are some details that we can uncover.

Spyshots reveal that the new Carnival could be the facelifted version showcased in October. It will get large L-shaped LED headlamps flanked by long LED DRLs. At the center there’s the signature tiger-nose grill. The bumper has also been redesigned. The rear looks similar to the one that is sold in the international markets currently. It sports the L-shaped connected LED taillamp and a redesigned bumper. The wheel arches are squarish and the wheels have redesigned alloys. The new Carnival will also have larger dimensions than the version it replaces.

The spyshots do not reveal the interiors however, they are expected to be similar to the new Seltos. It will get the same 12.5-inch infotainment display and a 12.5-inch drivers display. There might be some changes in the position of the controls and buttons. The upholstry too is expected to be of premium quality.

Powertrain

There is no change expected in the powertrain of the new Carnival. It will be equipped with the same 2.2-L diesel engine mated to an automatic transmission. It will be available in 7 seat, 9 seat and 11 seat configurations.
