Reports are suggesting that the new Honda Jazz is inching closer to the launch. Rumours are doing the rounds that Honda has already commenced test production for the new Jazz which could be launched by March 2015.
A very competent car, the Jazz initially bombed due to the high price tag. Later, by the time Honda corrected the pricing, the market saw a drastic shift to diesel powered models and the Jazz could never really take off from the showrooms. But still, the space, refinement and the overall package which the Honda Jazz offered stays unique to the segment.
The next-generation Jazz coming in a couple of months time wears a new body style. Slightly taller, and roundish at the back. Honda plans to offer all the bells and whistles to make it one of the segment best options.
The 1.5L i-DTEC diesel engine will also be available with the new Jazz. Petrol motor is expected to be the 1.2L motor currently available in the Brio and Amaze, in a slightly powerful tune.
Expected pricing is in the range of Rs. 4.5 – 6.5 lakh (ex-showroom).
