New-generation Volkswagen Tiguan revealed while testing

The upcoming Volkswagen Tiguan has been caught testing in the USA. The global SUV is due for a feature update and Volkswagen is going all out for the same. The new Tiguan could land up on international markets by 2024. That said, there could be some time before the Tiguan lands up on our shores. The Volkswagen Tiguan made its Indian debut back in December 2021.

What’s new in the next-gen Volkswagen Tiguan?

While the spy images make the new Tiguan appear pretty close in design to the outgoing version, a closer look reveals some interesting details. For starters, the German carmaker has delicately concealed the upper grille between the headlamps. Infact even the lower grille has been covered. At the bottom is a small splitter.

Overall, there aren’t any major changes to the Tiguan. It’s more of an evolutionary change than an all-new model.

Further, the sides now get reduced creases as compared to before. Towards the rear, the car engineers have covered the exhaust pipes. These could be to hide some details or it might be the new design of the next-gen Tiguan.

On the inside, the SUV is likely to get a large touchscreen display along with a digital infotainment screen for the driver.
