Ducati has launched the second-generation Scrambler in India. The bike was initially unveiled back in November 2022 at the EICMA Show. Ducati India has set the starting price as INR 10.39 lakh, ex-showroom and the Scrambler range will be available in Icon, Full Throttle and Nightshift variants.
In terms of updates, the new Scrambler now comes with an updated fuel tank. It also gets a replaceable coloured portion on the tank along with fenders, wheel tags and headlamp covers. The new Ducati Scrambler gets a new handlebar that is now positioned lower and closer to the rider. The updated seat now gets a flatter design and the seat height reads 795mm.
The Scrambler Icon comes in six colour options. Further, there are nine livery options to choose from as well. The Icon comes with black panels under the seat and there are Ducati Scrambler graphics as well.
Meanwhile, the Scrambler Full Throttle comes with side number plate mentioning 62, a skid plate and is offered in a GP19 Red/Dark Stealth livery. There are black exhaust heat shields along with front covers. This variant also gets a short front fender and the tail lacks rear fender. These bikes also get red tags on the alloy wheels, a Termignoni silencer and a standard quick shifter.
Lastly, the Scrambler Nightshift gets a seat like a cafe racer along with glossy and matte panelling. The Nightshift also gets side number plates, short front fender, LED indicators and aluminium inserts. The Ducati Scrambler Nightshift rides on wire spoke rims and gets bar end mirrors.
Ducati offers an 803cc air-cooled twin-cylinder engine on the new Scrambler. This unit develops 73 BHP @ 8,250 rpm and 65 Nm @ 7,000 rpm. Transmission duties are handled by a 6-speed gearbox and there are two riding modes – Road and Wet. Uniquely, the Scrambler range now gets ride by wire throttle for the first time.
