Kawasaki has launched the new 2020 Kawasaki Versys-X 250 Tourer model in the Indonesian market at the price of IDR 67,900,000 which roughly converts to INR 3.47 lakh. The new Versys-X 250 Tourer is the long-distance touring specific version of the standard Versys-X 250 and comes with a new updated colour for 2020, Grey with green graphics.
The Versys-X 250 Tourer features the same design and styling from the standard Versys-X 250 featuring an upright stance, with a single headlamp unit surrounded by a large shroud, a tall touring style windscreen, angular side fairings, 17-litre muscular fuel tank, two-up saddle with an ergonomic scooped seat for the rider, upright handlebars with knuckle guards and a grab rail integrated tail rack.
The Kawasaki Versys-X 250 Tourer is powered by a 249cc parallel-twin-cylinder liquid-cooled 4-stroke, 8-valve DOHC engine with fuel injection that produces 34 PS of power and 21.7 Nm of torque matched to a 6-speed return type gearbox. The Versys-X 250 Tourer features a 41mm long-travel right-side-up telescopic fork on the front, monoshock suspension on the rear, single 290mm petal disc brake on the front and a single 220mm petal disc on the rear. The touring motorcycle also comes with 19-inch front, 17-inch rear spoked rims shod in dual-sport tyres.
The brand in the Indian market used to retail the Versys-X 300 but it has not been upgraded to BS6 standards yet and the brand has not revealed when it plans to launch the BS6 updated Kawasaki Versys-X 300 in India. But the brand has revealed the 2021 Kawasaki Ninja 400 with new colours in the Thailand market and the brand is expected to bring the BS6 update along with the Model Year update in the Indian market soon.
Kawasaki has also unveiled the 2021 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R in the Indonesian market featuring a new livery. The remainder of the motorcycle is identical to its predecessor the MY2020 model which was sold in India priced at INR 10.49 lakh ex-showroom.
